RAÍCES VIVAS
The program Raíces Vivas is dedicated to supporting Brown/Indigenous/ Chicane/Latine youth and parents by providing a comprehensive range of community-based educational opportunities, community connection, and resources that mitigate impacts of systemic oppression.
We center authentic, anti-colonial, and culturally celebratory approaches to nourish collective healing, expansion, and liberation. We honor the importance of fostering a rooted sense of personal and collective cultural identity, prioritizing community-oriented mental health, and encouraging physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Our program aims to create a nurturing environment where youth can deepen their knowledge of self, understand their story, embrace their cultural heritage, encourage healthy relationships, and strengthen their connection to their communities and the Earth.
