Judith Alvarez

Coordinator of the Compañeras program in the Roaring Fork Valley 

Judith is originally from Tuxpan, Michoacan, Mexico. She has been a part of the Glenwood Springs community since 2008. In addition to her career as a doctor in general practice, she has been an instructor in parasitology at the Universidad Michoacana in San Miguel Hidalgo, chief of interns during their year of service, and director of a rural health clinic. Judith joined the AMISTAD team because one of her passions and her childhood dreams has been to care for the health of her community, and she is fulfilling her dream as a Health Promotor with AMISTAD. In her free time she likes to read, create art, play guitar, and watch romantic movies.
